gb&d: 9 Products We Love from NeoCon 2023

Products that help to create safe, comfortable spaces were among our favorite designs at this year’s NeoCon.This year’s major commercial design event—the world’s leading platform for the commercial interior design industry since 1969—took place at The Mart in Chicago from June 12 to 14, 2023.

Hollman’s Workspace Team Locker is Featured as one of the most exciting sustainable office furniture solutions from NeoCon 2023.

This new workplace storage solution from Hollman makes it easy to do great work. The Workspace Team Locker is designed to hold heavy equipment, store multiple uniforms, and protect personal belongings. It also offers employees secure locked areas, LED lighting, and a personal charging station.

The fully customizable design is made for company branding through color selections and logo placements. Premium materials include marine-grade vinyl cushion seating, stainless steel grill detailing, and antimicrobial linen interiors options.

This newest solution was inspired by Hollman’s Elevate and Elevate + Athletic Lockers. Hollman products qualify for BIFMA Gold for indoor air quality, and 80% of projects qualify for LEED points based on recycled content and low-emissions materials (and we love those zero-VOC finishes). Hollman is also Green Certified with a 96.14% waste diversion rate.

HiP Award Finalist: Hollman’s Workspace Team Locker

We are excited to share Hollman’s Workspace Team Lockers have been named a Finalist for the 2023 HiP Awards, honoring industry people and innovative products, by Interior Design Magazine. The winners of the 10th annual HiP Awards, will be announced at NeoCon 2023 in a ceremony on June 11th. 

Adapted to meet the needs of the workplace, the Workspace Team Locker provides companies with a durable and unique storage option. The athletic-inspired configuration adds a fun, creative element to the workplace. Promoting a team atmosphere for employees to relax, bond with coworkers, and make the space their own.

Ideal for companies with employees who require storage of personal or company-provided equipment like laptops, work uniforms, and more. The lockers offer each employee their own designated area to store belongings, charge devices, and comfortably sit. Hollman Supports DKMS with Donor Drive

The Hollman Family Foundation values the importance of giving back, and so do the rest of Hollman’s 100+ employees.  

Through the implementation of quarterly initiatives, the Hollman Team seizes the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community. This quarter, The Hollman Family Foundation supported DKMS: an international non-profit dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and other blood disorders. Inspired by Founder and President, Stephanie Hollman, and her bone marrow donation in 2017, Hollman hosted a Blood Marrow Donor Drive for employees.  

DKMS works to provide as many patients as possible with a second chance at life. One of these ways is spreading awareness and recruiting blood stem cell donors. Registering as a Bone Marrow Donor via a quick cheek swab takes less than 5 minutes and can give someone a second chance at life. Hollman’s eligible employees were happy to take a few short minutes out of their day to swab and potentially save a life!  

In the United States there are over 15,000 new patients each year who will need to find a matching unrelated donor. For more information on how to help support visit DKMS.org

              Project Insight: Georgia Tech University – Michael K. Anderson Renovation

              Georgia Tech University’s Men and Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams received a new student-athlete building, including impressive locker rooms.

              At the beginning of 2023, Georgia Tech unveiled the Michael K. Anderson Building to their track and field/cross country teams. The $2.8 million dollar project provided the teams and coaches with a newly renovated space with a place to lounge, train, and recover. 

              The remodel included new locker room renovations for the players and coaches to prepare them for their upcoming season. With a sport that requires minimal gear, the goal was to provide a locker layout with ample space for storing uniforms. Behind the locker’s door, athletes will find a fully exposed interior providing loads of hanging space and dedicated shoe drawers.

              Each locker is equipped with an integrated bench with a lower pull-out drawer for additional uniform or personal storage.  The design optimizes space within the locker room, giving the team an area to socialiaze and meet without feeling too crowded. 

              The design is a classic look, complimenting their football and basketball teams‘ locker room renovations, both constructed by Hollman.

              Locker Highlights:

              • Lower pull-out drawer with Aluminum grille for ventilation
