Siemens New Way of Working, with Hollman Workspace Lockers
INTRODUCTION
The team at Siemens was interested in creating a modern office for their employees. Siemens headquarters chose Hollman Lockers to create workspace storage solutions for their new office. They worked together with Hollman’s sales and design teams to develop a functional and flexible workspace.
Siemens has been adapting to the open-concept workspace throughout the years. In an article from 2012 about their new Orlando office, Siemens branded the term, NewWOW. Short for “New Way of Working,” the design allowed the company to trade the traditional office culture for added collaboration as it downsized its quarters. Based on the “hotel concept,” which lets employees move among desks equipped with phones and computers, the New Way of Working goes further by providing both computing power and phone service via portable laptops. It also includes workspace lockers. The lockers allow employees to stash their belongings when they’re not using them.
CHALLENGE
Siemens headquarters’ team laid out their goals for their new workspace. Firstly, they wanted their lockers to have a few pops of color. Secondly, to allow employees to move around freely. Thirdly, to offer a lock system that wouldn’t require a key or code.
SOLUTION + BENEFIT
Siemens headquarters got a high-quality product with all of the features they wanted with Hollman’s workspace lockers’ help. Hollman assembled lockers with multi-colored laminate doors. Popular colors such as red, yellow, blue, green, orange, and more add a tasteful hint of color to the white lockers. The team went with a laminate interior for a clean finishing touch.
There is a mix of two-tier and four-tier lockers. Both are the same dimensions of 15W x 24D x 72H, which provides employees with plenty of space to store their belongings. In turn, the lockers allow employees to move around freely throughout the office.
Hollman also installed a Vecos lock system on the lockers. Vecos is a smart lock that allows users to access their locker through an app on their phones. Most importantly, no keys or combination codes are required to get into their lockers. As a result, the smart locks are extremely user-friendly.
RESULTS
In conclusion, Hollman’s workspace lockers were the perfect solution to fit Siemens headquarters office needs. Siemens headquarters workspace lockers feature a touchless security solution provided by Vecos and a flexible storage solution provided by Hollman.
