The latest issue of Azure Magazine features Hollman’s Mobile Smart Locker. The design for this collaborative workstation and moveable storage unit serves to meet the needs of today’s flexible work environment. The Mobile Smart Locker can include a wired or wireless charger with a lifespan of up to 10 hours. The unit additionally includes storage on both sides and the ability to be tucked away into a taller cabinet when not in use.

Hollman has helped pave the way for hybrid, dynamic workplaces. Our project with Neighborly perfectly illustrates that Hollman is more than just lockers. Neighborly, the global franchisor of home service brands, sought to expand its headquarters by opening a new office in Irving, TX. “We’ve been looking for some time now for the right opportunity to open a new Neighborly hub in the North Texas area that is perfectly suited for the continued growth of our worldwide business,” said Mike Bidwell, president and CEO of Neighborly. 

Neighborly’s goals for the office are to expand, with plans to grow from 60 to 200 full-time associates, including existing and entirely new positions, by 2026. With 34,000 square feet to work with, Hollman got busy.

By understanding that the workplace has pivoted from traditional to hybrid, Neighborly sought out storage solutions that would provide employees, in and out of the office, with a safe and secure location to store personal items. They needed collaboration spaces, refreshment centers, and elegant ways to keep waste and recycle bins… they needed more than just lockers. And with years of experience customizing projects, Hollman was perfect for the job. We were able to curate a solution tailored to fit all of Neighborly’s needs.

The storage solutions were placed throughout the office, beginning at the entrance near the employee lounge. The first solution you see when you walk in is the Double Tier – Model B locker wall built with our smooth finish Laminate in designer white. The use of white helps to create an illusion of space that opens the room. The Model B configuration allows for added storage for employees to hang garments and accessories like a purse, laptop bags, small suitcases, umbrellas, etc.

Hollman Workspace Lockers

Hollman utilized the Model A lockers to create credenzas for collaboration spaces and refreshment centers. These credenzas were built with Textured Laminate to imitate the look and feel of natural wood. The use of laminate offers a more durable and sustainable approach to that of using solid wood. As seen in the image above, labeled bins were incorporated into the design to allow an elegant space for waste and recycling. The results of this project gave them a space where they feel comfortable housing their number of employees and for future dynamic changes.

        Hollman Workspace Lockers

        Located in Plano, TX, the newly built 300 acre International Business Park houses the office of Amwins. Amwins is a workplace specializing in auto insurance. The office needed a solution to accommodate the return of their employees to the office. With hybrid working in mind, Amwins saught the use of employee lockers. By teaming up with Hollman, Amwins added workspace lockers in the center of their office.

        CHALLENGE

        Like other offices, Amwins wanted to provide easy-to-use lockers for their employees while also enhancing the look and feel of the office. The lockers needed to not only provide storage but also extenuate the unique and homey design of the office.

        SOLUTION + BENEFITS

        With the help of Hollman, we were able to create a solution that achieved the goals set forth by the design team. Hollman assembled four-tier model D lockers with integrated seating – as seen in the photo above. The team chose laminate in Designer White to give the locker a clean and sleek finish. For security, the Keyless 1 lock in matte white was chosen to compliment the color of the locker and create a seamless look of the wall of lockers. The lockers also include ADA features to ensure capability for all.

              INTRODUCTION

              PayPal’s new headquarters in the Philippines is open and ready to fill 1,000 jobs by the end of 2020. In order to add 1,000 jobs, PayPal needed to create a workspace that would meet the needs of its employees. By teaming up with Hollman Lockers, PayPal’s Philippines Headquarters office space added hundreds of workspace lockers.

              CHALLENGE

              PayPal’s team’s primary focus was to create a custom design that accommodated the needs of their 700+ employees. Firstly, they wanted their workspace lockers to include their brand colors. Secondly, to offer versatile functionality. Lastly, to allow employees the ability to move around the office for open collaboration.

              SOLUTION + BENEFIT

              The teams at Hollman and PayPal collaborated to bring PayPal’s workspace storage solution designs to life for the site of their new operations in the Philippines. The result was a combination of workspace locker solutions to maximize functionality for their 700+ employees.

              For the hallways, the PayPal team chose a unique design of custom-made inset doors with laminate interiors. These workspace lockers also feature color accents with custom matching edge-banding of the PayPal brand Pantone colors.

              Hollman created two-tier, laminate lockers in a white high-gloss finish. These workspace lockers offer dual functionality that serves as both a marker board and magnet for the open workspace.

              Moreover, the PayPal team also requested a graduated locker configuration of custom lockers to divide the space. The configurations consisted of single-tier, double-tier, and triple-tier laminate lockers. Additionally, the division of space also serves as a social distancing barrier.

              RESULTS

              Overall, with Hollman workspace lockers‘ help, these workspace storage solutions seamlessly fit into the PayPal office space to maximize employee productivity and provide social distancing barriers. “The new office consists of rest areas, a karaoke room, a games area, and a modern cafeteria complete with built-in LED screens and sound system. To encourage teamwork and connectivity among employees, the workspace features open collaboration zones and Wi-Fi on all floors.”
