Project Insights: Elkhorn Lodge Ski Lockers

‘Exclusive, Premier, World-Class Elegance’ are all used to describe Elkhorn Lodge in Beaver Creek Resort with Hollman Club, Resort and Ski Lockers

INTRODUCTION

‘Exclusive, Premier, World-Class Elegance’ are all used to describe Elkhorn Lodge in Beaver Creek Resort. In an upscale location, Elkhorn offers a spectacular backdrop for gatherings of 10-30 participants.’ The guests can enjoy skiing from a variety of villages between the resort. With all of the ski options the resort offers, Elkhorn needs to provide a storage solution while maintaining its exclusive and luxurious experience. For this reason, they partnered with Hollman Ski Lockers to develop a storage solution.

CHALLENGE

Like other companies, Elkhorn wants to provide germ-free, clean, and safe facilities for their customers and guests. Secondly, they want their lockers to be durable, water-resistant, and functional. Additionally, they need to be large enough to store skis, snowboards, and additional gear.

SOLUTION + BENEFIT

Elkhorn’s design team, Victor Mark Donaldson Architects, was aware of the challenges they needed to overcome. With Hollman lockers’ help, they were able to go above and beyond Elkhorn Lodge’s expectations and needs. Hollman provided single-tier, wood veneer lockers with a nanolam interior, solid surface shelving, and some benches.

The single-tier model A lockers are 30W x 30D x 84L. Certainly large enough to store guest skis, snowboards, and gear. The lockers also have a water-resistant core. The MedEx core stops the veneer lockers from absorbing water. The nanolam interior is antimicrobial and keeps mold and bacteria from growing.

The wood veneer flat benches are 20W x 60L and stained to match the lockers. Hollman also provided Elkhorn Lodge with amenities such as wood-framed mirrors and foldable towel rack wall mounts.

RESULTS

With the help of Hollman club, resort, and ski lockers, Elkhorn Lodge was able to keep their club experience comfortable, luxurious, and clean. Hollman’s team worked together to develop the ultimate storage solution for Elkhorn’s guests’ ski equipment and belongings.

In conclusion, Elkhorn Lodge’s ski lockers provide guests space to store their skis, snowboards, and gear without worrying about bacteria, mold, or damage. The nanolam interior is antimicrobial material that reduces the chance of staph infection by 99.79%. This high-tech laminate resists scratches and abrasions which may occur from ski equipment. The lockers also have a MedEx core to protect against the melted snow.

Above all, these lockers are durable, antimicrobial, and water-resistant. At the same time, maintaining the luxurious, exclusive experience, Elkhorn Lodge provides.

Project Insights: Alt Aspen Hybrid Storage

Discover the Hybrid Storage solutions at Alt Aspen where you can combine work and vacation – Ski and Workspace Lockers by Hollman

        INTRODUCTION

When Wit Solberg took family vacations in Aspen, there was just one thing missing — workspace. “I would take my family out there and I worked, but I couldn’t find a place to work,” hesaid. Solberg and his business partners filled this void by purchasing 4,000 square feet for over 3 million for their next venture: Alt-Aspen. This unique coworking space is designed as an efficient working space so business types can get their jobs done without logistical hassles.

        CHALLENGE

Alt-Aspen will include printing and scanning services, mail service, private offices and conference rooms, and on-site notary service. However, they needed a hybrid storage solution: lockers (which are large enough for skis or a bag of golf clubs). Hollman was tasked to design a locker to fit all of their members’ needs and still maintain the aesthetic of the interior design.

        SOLUTION + BENEFIT

Hollman Lockers created Alt-Aspen’s storage solution that could accommodate both ski gear, and personal belongings for a productive work environment.

Hollman provided a combination of glass and wood veneer single-tier model A lockers, measuring 18″W x 24″D x 84″H. The back-painted glass doors use Sherwin Williams Wall Street and wood veneer doors in Clear Walnut to complement the outdoor landscape. Hollman built the lockers using MedEx Core, a water-resistant material because of the need for water-resistant, ski storage.

Each locker includes a power-grip ski holder and custom routing for an integrated ski boot dryer, for the ultimate ski storage solution.

        RESULTS

Alt-Aspen’s on-site lockers provide the members of the co-working space with the perfect hybrid storage for recreational and work gear. “A lot of time in this town, people are doing business in their hotels,” Solberg said. “You’re by a mountain and people need to get to work, and there’s no place to do it. They don’t want this hanging over their heads.” Alt-Aspen “is for someone with access to the mountain, and maybe they just want some space with a locker.”

        Explore Ski Lockers

Ski locker rooms are a popular gathering spot and prime social space. Because they are essential to the overall club experience, they should be comfortable and luxurious.

          Discover Glass

For a polished, modern aesthetic, glass lockers are the way to go. Glass lockers are surprisingly durable and perfect for high-use areas that get an above-average amount of moisture.
