Hollman Supports DKMS with Donor Drive

The Hollman Family Foundation values the importance of giving back, and so do the rest of Hollman’s 100+ employees.  

Through the implementation of quarterly initiatives, the Hollman Team seizes the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community. This quarter, The Hollman Family Foundation supported DKMS: an international non-profit dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and other blood disorders. Inspired by Founder and President, Stephanie Hollman, and her bone marrow donation in 2017, Hollman hosted a Blood Marrow Donor Drive for employees.  

DKMS works to provide as many patients as possible with a second chance at life. One of these ways is spreading awareness and recruiting blood stem cell donors. Registering as a Bone Marrow Donor via a quick cheek swab takes less than 5 minutes and can give someone a second chance at life. Hollman’s eligible employees were happy to take a few short minutes out of their day to swab and potentially save a life!  

In the United States there are over 15,000 new patients each year who will need to find a matching unrelated donor. For more information on how to help support visit DKMS.org

              Project Insight: Georgia Tech University – Michael K. Anderson Renovation

              Georgia Tech University’s Men and Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams received a new student-athlete building, including impressive locker rooms.

              At the beginning of 2023, Georgia Tech unveiled the Michael K. Anderson Building to their track and field/cross country teams. The $2.8 million dollar project provided the teams and coaches with a newly renovated space with a place to lounge, train, and recover. 

              The remodel included new locker room renovations for the players and coaches to prepare them for their upcoming season. With a sport that requires minimal gear, the goal was to provide a locker layout with ample space for storing uniforms. Behind the locker’s door, athletes will find a fully exposed interior providing loads of hanging space and dedicated shoe drawers.

              Each locker is equipped with an integrated bench with a lower pull-out drawer for additional uniform or personal storage.  The design optimizes space within the locker room, giving the team an area to socialiaze and meet without feeling too crowded. 

              The design is a classic look, complimenting their football and basketball teams‘ locker room renovations, both constructed by Hollman.

              Locker Highlights:

              • Personal lockbox with USB charging capabilities
              • Marine Grade Vinyl integrated bench
              • Lower pull-out drawer with Aluminum grille for ventilation
              • Toe Kick LED Lighting
              • Built-in cleat shelves

              With the renovation complete, the teams have a luxurious place to call home. With its modern design, ample space, and updated amenities, the athletes now have a comfortable and functional locker room for the season and years to come.

                    Environmental Awareness & Waste Reduction:  

                    Hollman has completed and received a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). An EPD is a transparent, objective report that communicates what a product is made of and how it impacts the environment across its entire life cycle.

                          Hollman Partners with The Family Place for Donation Drive

                          Entering the new year, The Hollman Family Foundation wanted to increase community involvement with the goal of giving back quarterly through different community initiatives. Hollman will support different communities and causes by partnering with and supporting other organizations each business quarter.

                          As Hollman’s first 2023 quarterly Community Initiative, Hollman has partnered with The Family Place, a nonprofit organization near and dear to the Hollman family and The Hollman Family Foundation.

                          The Family Place empowers survivors of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence. 

                          Throughout February, Hollman hosted an internal donation drive for employees to donate new and gently used items to The Family Place Resale Shop. The Resale shop accepts donations, provides free clothing, household items, and furniture to clients in need, and sells excess inventory to the general public to raise funds for programs. Hollman’s employees and their families donated items from clothing to decor, filling up a box truck full of donations.

                          Donation drives are a simple yet impactful way to aid your community. Donating new, unused, or gently used items to those in need is a sustainable, non-monetary way to give back. 

                          At Hollman, we believe it is important to give back and support our community. The Hollman Family Foundation strives to encourage employees to get involved and give back through participation in quarterly giving initiatives.

                                KEYNIUS

                                Whether through The Smarty terminal or the Keynius App, members can access a locker of their choice based on availability. The lock system is keyless, removing the pain of carrying a key around the facility or a member misplacing one. Each locker will track its activity, allowing employees to track usage and have quick access to the lockers if needed.  

                                Members can feel secure about their belongings being inside our smart lock system,  the likelihood that a locker code can be guessed is highly unlikely. With the contactless system, break-ins are a problem of the past with doors that are developed with a 2-in-1 lock that can either be push-to-open or pop-to-open. 

                                Keynius Highlights:

                                • Multiple options for locker access
                                • Lockers can be individually set-up for different uses
                                • Subscription based
                                • Encrypted data, guaranteeing personal data is protected
                                • Mobile app for both users and facility management

                                OJMAR PULSE

                                The Ojmar Pulse was designed with flexibility and functionality, providing a smart lock solution that can be used through RFID access. The easy plug-and-play lock system allows gyms to install quickly with a standard internet connection and manage through PC, tablet or smartphones. Through the software, employees can see which lockers are used the most, lock status, and battery level.

                                With convenience in mind, members can avoid crowded locker rooms with easy access and visibility of locker use through colored signals on the locks. The lockers are used through a member’s app, membership tag, or card.
