Longhorn Lockers’ Claims Denied
October 21, 2020 – Irving, Texas. Hollman, Inc., a national leader in the design and manufacture of custom lockers and storage solutions, announced a victory in its long-pending state court legal dispute with Longhorn Lockers, LLC.
Longhorn sued Hollman in 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Longhorn Lockers claimed that Hollman had a long history of misappropriated trade secrets and designs from Longhorn and used those tactics to win a contract with the New Orleans Saints. The Court rejected all of Longhorn’s claims by summary judgment order on October 19, 2020. The finding; Longhorn had no trade secrets and Hollman did not misappropriate anything from Longhorn leaving for trial only as Hollman’s claims against Longhorn for business torts and attorney’s fees.
Travis Hollman, President of Hollman, Inc., commented, “We believed Longhorn’s claims were baseless from the beginning. They lost a contract and sought a legal remedy for advantages they could not win in the marketplace. We are pleased with the Court’s acknowledgment that Longhorn’s claims didn’t even warrant a trial. Hollman has been an industry leader for 44 years – we’ve installed over 10 million lockers for national sports teams, both college and pro, as well as Fortune 500 companies. It shouldn’t surprise anyone – especially Longhorn – that teams seek out our designs and products.”
Hollman will be working with the court for Longhorn to compensate for loss of business and attorney fees.
